While most of the employees of the High Point Fire Department respond to various types of emergencies on a daily basis, another very important part of the department is consistently making sure that everything is in place to keep emergency operations moving. The administrative division of the High Point Fire Department is comprised of Deputy Chief Barry Tilley, Information Systems Specialist Chris Madden, a Geographic Information Specialist Kyle Hoover, Facilities and Logistics Supervisor Darrell Welborn, Facilities Maintenance Technician Mike Hackett and Executive Secretary to Chief Knight, Dottie Covert.
Together these personnel are responsible for planning, budgeting, performance measurement, purchasing, accounts payable, inventory control, the fire station and vehicle based computer systems, geographic information systems mapping, records management system coordination, facility construction and maintenance, logistical support and coordination of radio and telephone communications.
