Paratransit Service Eligibility

If you have a disability with functional limitations that prevents you from utilizing Hi tran's fixed route system, you may be eligible for Dial-A-Lift's services. Disabled persons must complete a certification form by calling Dial-A-Lift at 887-1183 (TDD#883-8517) or by visiting Hi-tran's office at 716 W Kivett Drive. The certification form must be signed by your physician, social service or a health agency representative and then returned to Hi-tran for approval. Please allow 21 calendar days for processing of your certification form. You will receive a letter stating approval/disapproval of certification and any applicable reasons. Any persons certified for paratransit systems outside of High Point will automatically be certified to participate in Dial-A-Lift's program upon proof of such certification.

 

You will be eligible for Dial-A-Lift's services if you are over 60 years of age. Proof of age is required for certification.
