Half Fare Program

Medicare recipients, senior citizens (age 60 and over) and disabled persons may qualify for Hi tran's half fare program. To qualify individuals must either have a valid Medicare card to show the driver each time he/she rides, a picture identification card with a birth date showing you are 60 or older, or apply for a reduced fare card by printing and completing the Reduced Bus Fare Application.

 

If you do not have a Medicare card or picture ID with your birth date and are qualifying by age, complete the top of the application, provide a copy of proof of age, sign in Part IV, and return the application to the Hi tran office.

 

If you do not have a Medicare card and are qualifying by disability, complete the top of the application and Part II of the application.  A medical professional familiar with you must complete Part III of the application. Sign the application in Part IV, and return the application to the Hi tran office.
