High Point Police Background Check
To get a High Point Police background check, you will need to bring a photo ID to the police department, 1009 Leonard Ave, High Point NC, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, excluding holidays. There is no charge for a High Point Police background check.
Complete Certified Background Check
To get a complete certified background check you will need to go to the clerk of court, 505 E. Green Drive, High Point NC. Take your photo ID and pay $25.00. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, excluding holidays.
To get fingerprinted, go to city hall, located at 211 S. Hamilton St. High Point NC, collections division (2nd floor). Fee is $10.00 per fingerprinting card. Bring you receipt to the police department, 1009 Leonard Ave, High Point NC.
Fingerprinting is done: Mondays 10am-11am, Tuesdays 11am-1230pm, Wednesdays 10am-11am and Thursdays 2pm-3pm.

If you want an ABC permit, go to www.ncabc.com and click on permits, retail permits, forms, application for ABC retail permit(s). This form explains what is needed to apply and the cost of retail permits. This form is sent to the ABC commission in Raleigh, NC and the directions are on this link. The local government opinion form, the link is below the application for ABC retail permit(s), must be completed and taken to the governing body of a city or county prior to issuing a retail ABC permit. If within the city limits of High Point, NC, take the form and a photocopy of your drivers license to the police department, 1009 Leonard Ave. The Chief of Police or a designated official will sign this form. Fill out the taxi permit application or come to the police department, 1009 Leonard Ave High Point NC to pick one up. You will need to go to city hall, located at 211 S. Hamilton St. High Point NC, collections division (2nd floor) and pay $7.00. Bring your receipt and notarized application and turn it in at the police department.
