Allen Jay Recreation Center was built in 2008. The center is located in Allen Jay Park at 1073 E. Springfield Road. This facility was funded through the 2004 Bond Referendum and was intended to replace the previous recreation center which was housed at the Old Rock Gym at Allen Jay Middle School, which was closed in December 2004.
The center features a gymnasium, large activity room, kitchen, game room and craft room. The park features three lighted baseball/softball athletic fields, two lighted tennis courts, a lighted outdoor basketball court, two small shelters and a playground. A variety of programs and activities are held at the center year round.
The center is available for rental opportunities to the public when not in use for regular operational programs and activities.
