Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-9:00pm; Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am-2:00pm

Deep River Recreation Center consists of a 46' x 35' large multipurpose room, 2 sets of restrooms and a regulation size gymnasium.Deep River

For information on shelter rentals, please call 883-3469 and for athletic fields please call 883-3480.

The surrounding park features 2 lighted baseball/softball field with bleachers, 1 lighted baseball field with bleachers, 3 unlighted tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, playground, restroom/concession building, picnic shelter, and unlighted multipurpose athletic field.

The Center offers a wide variety of recreation programs for all ages and abilities.  Deep River Recreation Center is also available for the public to rent space for special occasions, Holidays and special events.

Looking for somewhere fun and safe for your child after school? We provide a safe and fun environment for your child. There will be free time, arts & crafts, organized activities and homework time. Parents are responsible for snacks.

 

Art a la Carte - ages 4-6

Explore the world of art with your child! This parent/child class will show you a different art form each week and a hands-on project to go with it. Art can be messy so please dress accordingly. Pre-registration is required.

 

Ceramics for Beginners - ages 10+

Enter the world of ceramic art! Make pinch bowls and 3D sculptures using the coil method while learning the basic principles of the art. Each session includes four 2-hour classes and necessary materials. Pre-registration is required.

Jiu Jitsu - ages 16+

This form of self defense uses a series of joint locks and defensive tactics in combination with conserved energy to neutralize an attacker. Participation in a series of classes allows you to learn a range of tactics for self defense.

National Engineer's Week Bridge Building Competition - ages 9-12

Celebrate National Engineer's Week by testing your skill building bridges. The competition involves a one-week term to complete the build, ending with out testing day. All bridges will be tested to their breaking point. Materials and rules will be available for pick up on Friday, February 20 by 6p.m.

 

Picking the Strings - ages 8-12

Ever wanted to learn how to play the guitar? Join our instructor as she helps you develop your musical skills. You will even learn a song in the very first lesson! All you need to bring is a guitar and you will have fun picking the strings. A new session starts every 30 minutes.

Tiny Sluggers - ages 4-6
