Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-9:00pm; Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am-2:00pm

Deep River Recreation Center consists of a 46' x 35' large multipurpose room, 2 sets of restrooms and a regulation size gymnasium.Deep River

For information on shelter rentals, please call 883-3469 and for athletic fields please call 883-3480.

The surrounding park features 2 lighted baseball/softball field with bleachers, 1 lighted baseball field with bleachers, 3 unlighted tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, playground, restroom/concession building, picnic shelter, and unlighted multipurpose athletic field.

The Center offers a wide variety of recreation programs for all ages and abilities.  Deep River Recreation Center is also available for the public to rent space for special occasions, Holidays and special events.

Current Programs

After School Program - K-5th Grade
2:30-6p.m.  Fee:$125 per month + activity fees
We provide a safe and fun environment for your child. There will be free time, arts & crafts, organized activities and homework time. Parents are responsible for daily snacks.


Cribbage Club - ages 12+
6-8:30p.m.  Informational Poster            
Are you tired of the same traditional card games? Try this English card game that is quickly coming back in style.


Culinary Boot Camp - ages 10-14
September 28, 2015 - November 2, 2015
5:30-7p.m.  Fee:$10 per person/per session
Deadline for enrollment: 9/21
Develop independence by learning the ropes in the kitchen. Enhance skills and make healthy choices while following safe handling and proper sanitation practices. Learn a new recipe each week.


Jiu Jitsu - ages 13+
Tuesday & Thursday
6:30-8:30p.m.  Fee:$40 per person/per month, $5 drop in fee, Family rate - $90 for a family of 3 per month, $20 per additional family member
Information & Registration            
This form of self-defense uses a series of joint locks and defensive tactics in combination with conserved energy to neutralize an attacker. Participation in a series of classes allows you to learn a range of tactics for self defense.


Pre-School Fashion Show - ages 3-5
September 18, 2015
10-11:30a.m.  Deadline for enrollment: 9/11
You are never too young to rock the runway! Watch toddlers as they debut the latest fall fashions. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.


Stepping Out of Line - ages 18+
12:45p.m.-1:45p.m.  Fee:$5 per person/per class
Instructor: Sandra Fuller
Information & Registration            
This line dance class will burn calories, increase flexibility and coordination and give mind and memory a workout. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes and join the fun. Appropriate for advanced beginners.


Teacher Work Day Program - K-5th Grade

7:30a.m.-6p.m.  Fee:$15 per person/per day + activity fees
Deadline for enrollment: 10/19
Information & Registration            
Program provides arts and crafts, local field trips (additional fee required), and guest speakers. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child's lunch and two snacks. Space is limited so please register your child early. Fees are due at time of registration.


Teen Money Management - ages 13-18

This series of classes promotes financial responsibility and independence among teens. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, and pay for college.


Tiny Kickers - ages 4-6
September 28, 2015 - October 19, 2015
5:30-6:15p.m.  Fee:$15 per person
Deadline for enrollment: 9/21
Introductory soccer mini-camp to learn the basics from kicking to scoring and teamwork. Cleats not required, but shin guards are highly recommended.


Tiny Tacklers - ages 4-6
September 1, 2015 - September 22, 2015
6:15-7p.m.  Fee:$15 per person
Deadline for enrollment: 8/28
Football season is upon us and the fever has hit. Bring your little one out to learn the skills of football in a non-competitive environment. Your "Tiny Tackler" will learn how to punt, pass and kick.


Zumba - ages 18+
7-8p.m. (Monday & Wednesday); 9:30-10:30a.m. (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday)  Fee:$5 per person/per class; Packages - $20 for 5 classes; $30 for 10 classes, $50 for 20 classes
