Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-9:00pm; Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am-2:00pm

Deep River Recreation Center consists of a 46' x 35' large multipurpose room, 2 sets of restrooms and a regulation size gymnasium.Deep River

For information on shelter rentals, please call 883-3469 and for athletic fields please call 883-3480.

The surrounding park features 2 lighted baseball/softball field with bleachers, 1 lighted baseball field with bleachers, 3 unlighted tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, playground, restroom/concession building, picnic shelter, and unlighted multipurpose athletic field.

The Center offers a wide variety of recreation programs for all ages and abilities.  Deep River Recreation Center is also available for the public to rent space for special occasions, Holidays and special events.

Looking for somewhere fun and safe for your child after school? We provide a safe and fun environment for your child. There will be free time, arts & crafts, organized activities and homework time. Parents are responsible for snacks.

 

Bike Rodeo - ages 5-12

3:30-5:30p.m.  Enjoy a wonderful spring afternoon with the breeze in your hair. Bring your own bike, or use one of ours. Crumley & Roberts Law Group will have various drills and courses to ride in as well as FREE bike helmets, supplies limited. Let's keep it moving and keep it safe! Please call ahead to let us know you are attending.

 

CCRCM Open House and RC Air Show

Join us as we host a family outing to the Central Carolina R/C Modelers Open House and R/C Airshow. Meet us at Deep River so we can handle the driving for you. This will be an exciting event filled with fast planes, door prizes, and a "Candy Drop." Raffle tickets and food costs will be the responsibility of the participant. Food will be available for purchase at the airfield. Pre-registration is required; space is limited. All vans will depart at 9:15a.m.

 

Ceramics for Beginners - ages 10+

Enter the world of ceramic art! Make pinch bowls and 3D sculptures using the coil method while learning the basic principles of the art. Each session includes four 2-hour classes and necessary materials. Pre-registration is required.

Gym for Special Populations

10:30a.m.-12p.m.  All group homes and families are welcome to our open play time for special populations to gain socialization skills and be more active. Please call in advance if you are planning on a large group to attend. Program will be held through May 28.

Jiu Jitsu - ages 16+

Information & Registration            
This form of self-defense uses a series of joint locks and defensive tactics in combination with conserved energy to neutralize an attacker. Participation in a series of classes allows you to learn a range of tactics for self defense.

 

Lower Body Blast - ages 16+

Get an awesome lower body workout focusing on lower body muscle groups with cardio exercise mixed in. Please bring your own water bottles and weights ranging from 3 to 10 pounds. Program will be held until July 27.

9-10a.m.  Get your tiny tykes moving and playing with various balls and Frisbees, and tumbling on the mats. During the summer months we will have a group leader to lead organized games with your tyke. Program will be held until August 27.

 

Trailblazers Camp - Rising 6th-8th Grades

Take an adventure with us this summer! Campers will participate in a variety of sports, games, arts & crafts, field trips and more. There is an additional weekly activity fee to cover field trips.

 

Upper Body Blast - ages 16+
