Message From the Director

 

Welcome to the High Point Parks & Recreation website.  We take pride in providing a wide variety of programs and facilities for all the citizens of High Point, along with our out of town guests who may be visiting our city.

 

If you are looking for golf, tennis, boating, fishing, Greenways, swimming pools, picnic shelters, athletic events, environmental education programs, camping, disc golf or just a place to sit and relax, we have all that and more.  We also feature recreation centers, a senior center and a special populations section that offers a wide variety of programs for all ages.

 

We are working constantly to improve our facilities through long range planning and community involvement.  If you have needs or concerns, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to discuss your recreational needs.

The High Point Area Arts Council presented the City of High Point Parks & Recreation Department with the Mayor's Award for Corporate Support of the Arts at their 2011 Annual Awards Luncheon.  Director of Parks & Recreation, Allen Oliver, accepted the award for the department.
