The center is available for rentals for reunions, wedding receptions, graduation parties or any type of family gathering you may have when not in use for regular operational programs and activities. Click here or call for more information.
High Point Parks & Recreation has partnered with Go Far to provide a one mile and 5K walk/run route around the recreation center. You will see a sign like the one to the left at the facility outlining the routes, stretches, and healthy eating tips.

Focus will be on improving circulation, increasing flexibility and boosting overall health in this exercise class designed just for those 55 and older.
|After School Program - K-5th Grade
2:30-6pm Fee:$125 per month + activity fees
Our high quality program offers a variety of activities including gym games, arts & crafts, outside play, cooking, homework assistance and other activities. Transportation is provided. Additional activities will be scheduled throughout the school year for an additional fee. Parents are responsible for daily snacks.

Calling all little shoppers! We will accompany participants to Hanes Mall where they will have the opportunity to purchase gifts for friends and family. When we return, we will wrap our gifts! Lunch will be provided. Participants will need to bring money to spend on gifts.

Calling all artists, crafters and shoppers. Shoppers can peruse booths selling unique items from toys, teacher's gifts, jewelry, holiday decorations, sewn items, woodcrafts and much more. If you would like to participate as a vendor, please contact the center to reserve your spot. Door prizes will be given away throughout the day.

9:15-11:30am Walking is an excellent way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The gym will be open to help you walk your way to a healthy you and meet your fitness goals. Just over 18 laps=1 mile.
|Young Champions - Karate - ages 4-16
6-6:45pm (beginners); 6:45-7:30p.m. (yellow & green belt); 7:30-8:15p.m. (blue belt and above) Fee:$8 registration fee, $7 per class
A comprehensive martial arts class that promotes safety, self-awareness, physical fitness, and self-confidence. Testing is available at the end of the session to advance to the next level at an additional fee. Current session runs through September 17. New session begins September 24.

This is a fun way to get into shape. The routines include interval sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance will be used to help you burn calories, improve your endurance, and tone muscles.
