Swimming Pools
The City of High Point Parks & Recreation Department operates aquatic facilities at City Lake Park and Washington Terrace Park. Each location includes a swimming pool, waterslide and wading pool. The facilities are operated for public recreation and competitive swimming.
The aquatic facilities open on Memorial Day weekend and are open on weekends only until Guilford County Schools are out for the summer, then weekday operation is added; and close around mid-August each year.

The pool is 165' x 230' and holds 780,000 gallons of water. The pool has lane competition markings, is handicap accessible with a zero
depth entry area. The maximum depth is 5'. The waterside is a special purpose pool with two fiberglass flumes with separate run out landings and holds 10,000 gallons of water. The wading pool is 60' x 100' with shallow water only; also known as a Kiddie Pool, and holds 5,000 gallons of water.

The pool is 337 linear feet; 4,627 square feet with lane competition markings, handicap aaccessible, zero depth entry area and holds 122,416 gallons of water. The maximum depth is 4.6'. The waterslide is approximately 13' high with a single flume exiting at the 4.6' depth area of the pool. The wading pool is 30' x 15' with shallow water only; also known as a Kiddie Pool, and holds 3,000 gallons of water.

The City of High point also features a Splash Pad which is located at Southside Recreation Center. A Splash Pad is an area for water play that has no standing water (no Lifeguards on duty). Features include water spray guns, water buckets, and floor spouts. Beside the Splash Pad is a Lunar Blast Net Climber. Children will have fun climbing through and around the net. Adult supervision is required when visiting the Splash Pad.
Hours of operation: Monday-Saturday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM; Sunday, 1:00pm-6:00 PM. Citizens are welcome to enjoy the Splash Pad free of charge.
