Southside Recreation Center was built in 1974 and features a gymnasium and two game rooms.
SSRC Building
The Center is available for rental opportunities to the public when not in use for regular operational programs and activities. You may rent the Center for reunions, birthday parties, wedding receptions, graduation parties or any type of family gathering you may have. Call the Center to request a date and obtain rates.

Hours of operation: Monday-Thursday, 9:00am-9:00pm; Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am-12:00pm.

Southside Recreation Center is also the home of many organizations in our area. The Boys and Girls Club of Greater High Point, The Sickle Cell Disease Association of the Piedmont, Development of Day Care and Healthy Start Family Services of the Piedmont. "Passport for Learning" Summer Enrichment Camp

Our camp will allow participants to have fun with special reading projects throughout the summer in addition to traditional camp activities such as crafts, sports, games, field trips and more. For rising K-5th graders.

Join us for our Midnight Basketball Program where we teach young people life skills. This program is sponsored by the High Point Parks & Recreation Department. This is a coed program for ages 10-13.
