Volunteer Opportunities

The High Point Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals and/or groups wanting to become involved in volunteering for the department.  The opportunities are as varied as your interests; youth sports coaches, class instructors, park beautification projects, Special Olympics activities, advisory committees, Youth Council and much more!

We do ask that essential volunteers (such as youth coaches, volunteer drivers, class instructors, etc.) fill out a Volunteer Application Form.  This form authorizes the City of High Point to conduct background checks in areas we deem necessary.  These individuals will also be asked to meet with a program supervisor and go through a short interview process.

If you are interested in volunteering, you may print off the below application and return the completed application to the division you are interested in.  You may also return the application to our administration office at 136 Northpoint Avenue.  Those volunteering for driving should also complete the driver's information form.

Volunteers are a vital part of our department. We greatly appreciate anyone who gives their time to help out in the community.
