Our youth athletic programs are focused on the total development of the child. "We do not place emphasis on winning." Our mission at High Point Parks & Recreation is to provide a positive sports experience for children and their parents. Our program philosophy emphasizes sportsmanship, camaraderie, fun and safety.

Current Programs

Community Baseball Program Registration - ages 4-8 - Oakview Recreation Center
Monday-Saturday
During Operational Hours 
Fee:$35.00 per person
Deadline for enrollment: 5/31/14
Registration Packet          
This program teaches youth the basics of T-ball or Coach Pitch Baseball in a structured league. Sportsmanship and teamwork are emphasized. Practices and games are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and on Saturday mornings. Volunteer coaches are needed! You may obtain a registration form online, at our Administration Office or at any Recreation Center. Call 883-3508 for more information.

 

King of the Court Basketball Challenge - ages 9-17 - Athletics

Get a head start learning the fundamentals of cheerleading. Our chants, cheers and skills camp will get you ready for our fall cheerleading program. Registration for the camp also includes participating during league play. Program will be held at Morehead Recreation Center. Registration begins May 12.

Youth Volleyball Registration - ages 9-18 - Athletics

Information & Registration          
Program offers fun, age-appropriate volleyball for girls. Beginner to advanced players learn and improve their skill development through league play. Age divisions: 9-11, 12-14, 15-18. Age is as of August 1. Players must provide their own knee pads. Volunteer coaches needed. League will play on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 9-July 31 from 6-9p.m. Play will alternate between Allen Jay and Deep River Recreation Centers.
