Student Human Relations Commission

High Point Student Human Relations Commission is assigned the following functions by the City of High Point Human Relations Department under the auspices of the City of High Point ordinance which created the functions of and established the authority of the department.  As such, in alignment with the functions of the department, the purpose of the Student Commission:

  • Promoting dialogues on diversity among youth;
  • Fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of differences;
  • Creating exposure to human and civil rights laws, such as the City of High Point Human Rights Ordinance and Fair Housing Act; and
  • Encouraging leadership and active participation in government.

The City of High Point Student Human Relation will be partnering with the Community Development and Housing Department to offer a Student Human Relations program. More Info to Come
