Connect HP was born out of the High Point City Council’s strategic goal of increasing the population of active, engaged, entrepreneurial and working young professionals. Comprised of young professionals appointed by the mayor, representing diverse experiences across a number of industries, the taskforce serves as a liaison for High Point’s young professional community and its city government by providing a platform for discussion, feedback and idea exchange on how to effectively engage this influential demographic.
In its first year, the taskforce has identified four focus areas to engage young professionals through involvement in
live, work, play
initiatives. Within each of these four priorities, the taskforce will work with existing organizations and community partners to elevate opportunities to engage more young professionals in the greater High Point area.
