Summer Camp

High Point Parks & Recreation has a variety of Summer Camps for all children.  You can register for camps in person, by phone or online.

Camps hosted by the Piedmont Environmental Center are sp Camps hosted by the Piedmont Environmental Center are specifically designed for children who have a sincere interest in nature and the environment. Camps are filled with engaging activities and events that foster an understanding of natural history. All the fun leads to more than a sterile body of facts. By the end of a camp experience, campers are more keenly aware of their own place in the network of plants and animals.

High Point Parks & Recreation offers high quality, affordable summer camps for rising 1st graders-6th graders. Teen camps for rising 7th-9th graders are also available at Allen Jay Recreation Center and Deep River Recreation Center. Don't miss the chance to reserve your child’s spot for a summer of fun, learning, and friendship in a safe environment!

$80 per week includes full-time care (7:30am-6pm, Monday through Friday), field trips, activities and a t-shirt!
Discounts are available for families with more than 1 child enrolled: $80 per week for first child enrolled; $70 per week for additional siblings. (Children must attend same weeks of camps.) Please call for details.

NEW for Summer 2018!  High Point Parks and Recreation is partnering with the High Point Adventure Company to offer a new and exciting opportunity for children ages 10-15 to explore nature via Standup Paddleboarding (SUP). While taking part in team building activities, environmental education, and games, participants will gain an understanding of safety gear, SUP equipment, and more while enjoying beautiful Oak Hollow Lake. 

$200 per week (8am-5pm, Monday through Friday).
$160.00 (week of 7/2/18 - 8am-5pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)
