Summer Nature Camps (ages 8 - 12)
Piedmont Environmental Center's Summer Nature Camps are specifically designed for children who have a sincere interest in nature and the environment. Campers become Junior Resource Managers of "homeland" territories while playing a land-use simulation game called Common Ground. Hiking adventures on the trails and supporting activities in the classroom give campers a greater understanding of how plants and animals form communities much like our own. Campers need to bring lunch, two snacks and a water bottle for each day and be dressed for outdoor activity.
