Keep High Point Beautiful Youth Council

Current Members of the Keep High Point Beautiful Youth Advisory Council!

We are excited to welcome Joseph Funderburk and Jasmine Burke to the team. We can't wait to hear their ideas and visions for our community as they get the chance to learn more about the specific environmental challenges that we face in our community and gain firsthand experience and knowledge of ways that we can improve our community.

Participation in the Youth Council will include:

  • Attending five (5) Keep High Point Beautiful Board meetings a year. These are held at the Piedmont Environmental Center in High Point at 4:00 p.m., every other month, on the third Monday of that month. (Non-voting position)
  • Attending and helping prepare for the two large city-wide annual litter cleanup events, the Great American Cleanup in the spring and the High Point Big Sweep in the fall.
  • Helping with outreach to peer groups in High Point.
  • Assisting with Litter Indexing of city roadways.
  • Assisting with additional efforts and programs as they arise.
