In every town across America, there are men and women who served their country in numerous ways; High Point is no exception. Since its incorporation in 1859, High Point citizens have taken up arms in every conflict from the Civil War to most recently, the war in Afghanistan. As wars come and go, veterans and their families donate uniforms and other artifacts to the High Point Historical Society to help share High Point’s history and strengthen the sense of community. In each of the five wars below, there is an interactive timeline that does just that. By taking donors of the collection and mixing them in with the events of the wars, you will be able to see how High Pointers help to serve their country and their community.

Thank you to Mikayla Ballew, a UNC-Greensboro graduate student, for her help creating these timelines.
