Bookmobile

The bookmobile has a long and rich history in the United States.  The idea began with May Lemist Titcomb, a librarian from Maryland.  She wanted to bring books to people who did not have access to the library.  Her first bookmobile was a horse drawn carriage in the early 1900’s.

Last year we had a community contest to see who would design the wrap/paint scheme of our new bookmobile.  The winners of the design contest, Peter Nyugen and Kierstin Brackett, really out did themselves!
