High Point Transportation Department
The High Point Transportation Department can provide information about:
  • Crash Reports
  • Growth Rate of Traffic
  • HiTran
  • Off-Street Parking (City-Owned)

  • Traffic Counts
The City’s Transportation Department conducts turning movement counts at selected intersections for special projects. Historical traffic count data is used to develop localized growth rates on major transportation corridors, which are used to project traffic volumes for traffic impact analysis (PDF) and long-range transportation project planning. The department also annually updates the number of monthly passes sold and daily use of spaces in city-owned garages, and tracks monthly ridership on HiTran, the city’s public transportation system. They can also provide information about HiTran routes, and the location of sidewalks and railways within the city.

High Point Police Department
The High Point Police Department can provide information about:

The Police Department collects crash reports continually and compiles them yearly by the type of accident and location.

N.C. Department of Transportation
The N.C. Department of Transportation can provide information about:
  • Crash Reports
  • Railways
  • Traffic Counts
The State Department of Transportation conducts mid block traffic counts on selected state maintained roads every 2 years and publishes traffic volume maps with Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT). NCDOT also provides crash data and reports on their website, and can provide information about the location of railways through their rail division.
