- In 2014, the Richmond Tennis Association (RTA) put tennis director, Junius Chatman, Jr into the Hall of Fame
- Selected by the USTA in 2015 as one of the Top 50 Black Coaches/Teaching Pros in the US to attend a high-performance coaching workshop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in December 2015. Other notable attendees: Mal Washington (former Wimbledon finalist), Chip Hooper (former top 20 ATP), Katrina Adams (former top 20 player WTA and former president, CEO of USTA)
