The High Point Police Department offers military incentive pay. For each full year of service an applicant will receive a 1% increase in salary for up to 10 years of service as an active duty member of the United States armed forces. Applications must be received within one year from the date of honorable discharge to qualify for the incentive pay. The applicant must be recently removed from active duty within the last calendar year, and received an honorable discharge at the end of enlistment. This incentive cannot be combined with the lateral police officer incentive pay.

Military applicants must take part in the same hiring process and attend a full Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) class if they wish to be sponsored / hired by the Hire Point Police Department.
