We greatly appreciate having such a beautiful location to meet and discuss our agenda.
We look to residents, government, businesses, and industries within the corporate limits of the City of High Point to implement and maintain the Keep High Point Beautiful chapter.
Major Programs
- Great American Clean-Up: an annual litter cleanup event held in April. Volunteers throughout the city work together to clean-up litter along the roadways.
- High Point Big Sweep: an annual litter cleanup event held in October. Volunteers throughout the city work together to clean-up streams, rivers, ponds, and lakes of litter/debris.
- Winter Wipeout: an annual litter cleanup event scheduled within the winter months while vegetation is dormant and allows for better view and easier access to litter that is not visible in warmer months of the year. The cleanup time frame is three weeks and allows for volunteers to choose when it is most convenient for them to clean up.
- Summer Trash Smash: an annual litter cleanup event held on the Saturday following National Night Out. Citizens are encouraged to beautify their property and neighborhood by removing litter. This effort is lead in partnership with the High Point Police Department who will be looking for participants to award gift cards for their efforts.
- Flowers Powering Hope: an initiative that battles food insecurity through beautification. Participants bring non-perishable items for donation to a food bank in exchange for free flower bulbs to be planted around High Point.
- Adopt-A-Stream: an ongoing program in which local groups can volunteer to regularly clean-up litter and debris from one of High Point's waterways.
- Adopt-A-Street: a program in which citizen groups and businesses help adopt portions of streets by volunteering to keep them free of litter and debris through regular clean-up efforts.
- Adopt-A-Spot: a program in which volunteers commit to cleaning a small section of an area that is in need of litter pickup on a regular basis.
