1. Compost Facility

The Ingleside Compost Facility is a convenience we offer to High Point residents for disposing of yard debris.

  2. Dead Animal Pick-Up

It shall be unlawful to place dead animals at curbside prior to scheduling for collection by city forces. This service is provided 5 days a week during normal business hours.

  3. Garbage Collection

Household garbage is picked up once a week. Customers must use a City-approved roll-out garbage cart. Solid waste collection begins at 7 a.m.

  4. Hazardous Waste

Certain household wastes are not accepted in your roll-out cart, because they can be hazardous to our environment and our collection workers.

  5. Landfill Facility

Managing the waste our city generates is everyone’s responsibility. Preserving the environment through disposal is the mission of the Kersey Valley Landfill. We are dedicated in advancing Solid Waste solutions in an environmentally friendly way and helping our community become a national model for Solid Waste management.

  6. Loose Leaf Pickup Schedule

The City of High Point typically begins collecting loose leaves from the curb in mid-November.

  7. Medical Waste

Needles and syringes should not be placed in the garbage or recycling carts.

  8. Recycling

Recyclables will be picked up every other week from the curb on your regular garbage collection day. The City is providing 95-gal recycling carts to residents. These carts belong to the City and must remain with the house they have been assigned to. If you move, leave the cart behind.
