This time, the "e" stands for ecology! Each Tuesday morning this winter, PEC staff will lead a 75 minute walk on the trails to observe the nature of winter and wildlife. We will walk from winter into spring and witness the natural world unfolding before us. During each walk, a different ecological concept will be introduced to the participants and the staff naturalist will relate that concept to the observations the group has made. Topics include biodiversity, interrelationships, limiting factors, symbiosis, succession, biorhythms and much more. Participants should dress for the weather and bring their own binoculars and magnifying lens; PEC can provide these tools for those who don't have them. Pre-registration is required; deadline is one day prior to each walk.
