    The Digital Library on American Slavery contains unique, detailed information extracted from legislative and county court petitions, runaway slave ads, slavery-era insurance registries, slave deeds, and slave trade voyages. In his presentation, Richard Cox, Digital Technology Consultant at UNC-Greensboro Libraries, will demonstrate how to search the database and review what can be found within all of that information, as well as answer any questions participants may have about the contents and use of the database.

    Keep High Point Beautiful and the City of High Point are excited to add another litter cleanup opportunity in 2017! This year we are introducing the Winter Wipeout as a new and easy way to help beautify High Point, take care of the environment and serve our community. During the winter months, trash that has been hidden by vegetation is revealed. While many trees, vines and flowers lay dormant, we are better able to see and reach what has been hidden for weeks or possibly months.
