N.C. Governor Roy Cooper announced that Aetna, a CVS Health business, is expanding its operations in High Point. The business added 80 jobs in 2018 and is projected to hire approximately 300 new employees by the end of 2020.

Nov. 20, 2018 -- Hanesbrands will hire 200 employees for its new 343,000-sq. ft. distribution center in High Point. Located at 4190 Eagle Hill Drive, the facility will handle Hanesbrands' Champion products, especially men’s athletics and jersey apparel.
Nov. 7, 2018 -- Over the last year, there were 5,167 jobs created or announced by 37 office/industrial projects in High Point, Greensboro, and Guilford County and 69 retail/services projects in High Point. HandCraft Services will be bringing 150 jobs.
Sept. 13, 2018 -- Arper has opened a 100,000-sq. ft. furniture manufacturing facility at 660 Southwest Street. The high-end Italian company is making chairs, sofas, and lounge seating. Arper expects to grow its initial workforce of 24 employees.
August 29, 2018 -- Publix Super Markets is making a major new investment in Greensboro-High Point. The company plans to hire 1,000 employees and make a $400 million capital investment at its new distribution and logistics campus in Greensboro.
August 16, 2018 -- The FedEx Express Mid-Atlantic Hub at Piedmont Triad International Airport is adding 400 employees, bringing total employment at the hub to more than 800 workers. The airport is less than a mile from High Point's city limits.
August 4, 2018 — A major area employer and global giant in the telecommunications field will add 50 jobs at its Guilford County facility. AT&T is hiring at its customer service operation on Wireless Drive in western Greensboro.
July 11, 2018 -- Norwegian Cruise Line will hire 200 employees as it expands its at-home agent initiative in the High Point/Piedmont Triad region. The employees will be the first point of contact for guests and travel agents looking to design a vacation.
May 7, 2018 -- Governor Roy Cooper announced that Amada North America has chosen High Point for its new manufacturing campus. The company will create 201 jobs and invest $87 million. Amada manufactures precision sheet metal fabricating equipment.
April 16, 2018 -- The High Point operations of Cambrex are continuing to grow. The manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients for clinical trials bought its two buildings and recently had two expansions, including adding an analytical laboratory.
March 05, 2018 -- The Greensboro-High Point MSA has been ranked #2 in the nation for new and expanded corporate facilities in 2017, in metro areas with populations of 200,000-1,000,000. The MSA is composed of Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties.
Jan. 23, 2018 -- Italian aerospace, defense, and security tech company Leonardo has expanded in High Point. The law enforcement technology systems manufacturer has opened a new 30,000-sq. ft. facility at 4221 Tudor Lane in High Point.
Oct. 5, 2017 -- Superion will expand existing operations in High Point, creating 80 jobs over three years, Governor Roy Cooper announced. The software company, which provides services to public sector groups, will invest $3.46 million with this project.
July 6, 2017 -- Greensboro-High Point claimed the state’s largest job-creation announcement over the last year, according to the July 2017 edition of Business North Carolina. Guilford County, also landed three of the state’s Top 15 projects.
May 25, 2017 -- Precision Design Machinery, a manufacturer of large equipment for the corrugated industry, is expanding. The company will add 40 jobs and open a second High Point facility.
