The High Point Public Library will host international bestselling author Jane Green at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 8 for a reading, discussion, and book signing.

Green, the “queen of beach books," will read from her upcoming novel, The Sunshine Sisters, a heartfelt and emotional story of a retired star actress who, diagnosed with a terminal illness, calls home her three estranged daughters to end her life. With over 10 million books sold in 25 languages, Green is the author of 17 New York Times bestselling novels, including The Beach House, Jemima J, and Tempting Fate.

The book signing will take place from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., followed by the reading and discussion. Copies of The Sunshine Sisters will be on sale at the event by Bookmarks, a literary nonprofit, that works to foster a love of reading and writing through year-round literary events, an Authors in the Schools program, and the largest annual book festival in the Carolinas.
