The High Point Big Sweep is an annual litter cleanup event held on the first Saturday in October. Volunteers throughout the city work together to clean streams, rivers, ponds and lakes of litter and debris. While the focus of this event is water-based, we also have volunteers that clean up roadways and areas in which litter can be washed down into waterways and other bodies of water.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for volunteers, as are all supplies needed! Participants are also encouraged to bring canned food donations for local food banks. Each food item counts as one entry into our drawing for five (5) $100 Visa gift cards!
