This week, North Carolina’s Safer at Home Phase 2 was extended until August 7, which means the Library building can’t reopen to the public just yet. But here are three great things we CAN do right now!
1. We’ll offer extra drive-through and telephone assistance hours Mondays through Thursdays, 9 am to 7 pm, Fridays, 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturdays, 9 am to 2 pm. (New hours start July 6 — and you’ll still need to reserve items beforehand and wait for notification that they’re ready to be picked up.)
2. We’ll continue to offer online programs for kids (bit.ly/HPPLSummerReading), teens (Facebook.com/HPPLTeen), and adults (Facebook.com/HighPointPublicLibrary), including family yoga, digital escape rooms, book clubs, live concerts, STEM activities, story times, writing workshops, and so much more.
3. We’ll soon share more information about how the Library is getting ready to keep you safe when we do open, including additional protective equipment, increased cleaning and sanitization, and new safety protocols.
