The High Point Museum invites the community to begin their holiday season by visiting the Museum for its 48th Annual Holiday Open House Sunday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. This year, due to the pandemic and safety guidelines, participants must register and each person must have an individual ticket to attend. The event will feature take home craft kits, strolling carolers, candle-dipping, blacksmith demonstrations, and new outdoor exhibits. These activities will take place outside with social distancing and masks are encouraged.
Shopping in the Museum Store also will be available with social distancing, masks required and limited occupancy enforced.
Santa Claus will be in the Little Red Schoolhouse from 1 to 3 p.m. with a limited number of appointments. Each family group must reserve a Santa appointment, which is a separate ticket from the overall event. Masks are required in the Little Red Schoolhouse. A mailbox for letters to Santa will be available if you do not get to see him.
