The High Point Farmers Market will partner with the Alexander Martin Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) on Saturday, September 17, to commemorate Constitution Day. Representatives of the DAR will be at the Market from 9:00 am -1:00 pm handing out bookmarks with the Constitution Preamble and pocket-sized copies of the Constitution. Joining the DAR will be staff from the High Point Public Library’s Heritage Research Center who will share information about the HRC’s genealogy and local history resources.
The commemoration will kick off at 10:00 am with the High Point Central High School ROTC color guard presenting the Colors. Following this, Mayor Pro Tem Monica Peters will read a proclamation in honor of Constitution Day in the City of High Point.
