Masks - UPDATE
Effective Monday, May 11, 2020, in addition to all staff being required to wear a mask passengers will be required to wear a mask or other face covering in order to board and ride a bus. For passengers who do not have a face covering, each vehicle will have a supply of disposable masks that may be given to passengers who are in need. Masks are not unlimited, so please make sure to only give one mask per passenger and only to those who do not have a face covering when boarding the bus.
City Management and Human Resources have also issued protocols that apply to all city employees. Below are two (2) that transit employees should be aware of as they are changes from what we have been doing.
- All employees should wear cloth face coverings upon entering City facilities or work sites, in common areas (including restrooms), hallways, and during gatherings or meetings.
- Employees in City vehicles with other employees must wear a cloth face covering.
An additional order of reusable cloth masks has been delivered (and no, they are from a different company). Each employee will be issued up to 4 masks. They will be distributed as soon as possible after their arrival.
