History of ArchdaleLocal Historian Dan Warren will be leading a class on the history of Archdale. The class will be Tuesday, March 28 from 6 pm to 8 pm at RCC Archdale Center, 110 Park Drive. Upcoming Film Screening
A screening of the new documentary “The March on an All-American City” will be held Saturday, April 1 at 10 am at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 108 W. Farriss Ave.
The film offers a glimpse into the history of High Point's African American community during the Civil Rights Movement. Prominent citizens of High Point share their stories and experiences from that time period. The documentary, approximately two hours long, was produced by Phyllis Bridges, a local African American historian.
The showing is free and open to the public. A question and answer session will follow the screening.
Parking available along Farriss Ave, Hillcrest Drive, and in St. Mary's Church Parking Lot on Hillcrest Dr. There will be accessible parking along Farriss Ave. immediately in front of the church.
