Education and the Classics

Presented by HPHS Board Member Jacqueline Arthur-Montagne, PhD

Professor Arthur-Montagne is a scholar of social and cultural history in the Roman Empire. She received a B.A. in Classics from Middlebury College and a Ph.D. from Stanford University, and was delighted to join High Point University in 2016. Her research focuses on classical education, and the intersection of history-writing and fictional narrative in the postclassical Mediterranean.
 
This program is a prologue of the Cruising with the Classics trip planned for October 27, 28, 29 to Charlottesville, VA.
