1. What’s in the compost? Is there manure in it?

The compost is composed of decomposed grass and Leaves. No, there is no manure in our compost. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

2. Why do I have to pay? What’s the charge?

Only a city homeowners bringing material from their primary residence is free. There is a charge (36 per ton) for any landscape/tree business, city residents renting property, getting paid for yard work, bringing material from a 2nd/3rd home (not their primary residence), material brought in by someone other than the homeowner, business properties, and non-city residents. The High Point City Council has ruled that any charges incurred to 2nd/rental homes and business properties can be deducted from the owner’s taxes. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

3. Can I get X- tons of a product? This is all the money I have.

Our loaders are experienced and will try to give you what you ask for but there are no guarantees. Charges are incurred by weight. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

4. Can you deduct weight due to rain/snow?

5. Can the employees help me empty my truck/trailer?

For brush and limbs: If the product is roped or chained, the loader can lift the bundle off. Employees are not allowed to use the loader, shovel etc. to scrape or remove any product. 6. What are your size limits for trees and limbs?

There are no size limits for trees or limbs. We do ask that stumps be free of dirt. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

7. Do leaves have to be bagged?

Leaves may be loose or bagged when brought to the compost facility. The bags can be colored or clear. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

8. What are your products/prices?

-Compost - $22 per ton

-Engineered Topsoil - $22 per ton

-Wood Mulch and Leaf Mulch - $17 per ton

9. Do you donate product to community/non-profit organizations?

10. Can I bring any kind of wood?

We only accept natural products (trees, limbs, leaves, bamboo, and grass). We can’t accept pallets, treated wood, or other building material. These items must be taken to the landfill at 3940 E Kivett Drive. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

11. What are your hours of operation?

The Ingleside Compost Facility operates Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Please call 336-883-8514 for more information.

12. Will you load my truck or trailer with material?

13. Do you deliver?

14. Will you empty my debris?

15. Do I have to weigh in and out?

16. Is there a charge for yard waste?

Residential: There is no charge to residential customers if the yard waste is brought from your primary residence and is in your personal vehicle. If the waste is from a rental property, if you are not the home owner, if you are a business or in a commercial vehicle the charge is $36 per ton with ah $7.50 minimum for Pickups, SUV’s or larger. There is a $2 minimum for cars. If you are not a High Point resident who lives in the High Point city limits there will be a charge for all material that is disposed. The charge will be $36 per ton.

Commercial: All commercial customers, landscape businesses and commercial vehicles will be charged $36 per ton with a $7.50 minimum. If the homeowner is in the vehicle, there will be a charge. No exceptions.
