Park Hours
Hours of operation are based on daylight hours. The park is open daily for boating, fishing, picnicking and playing on the playground, weather permitting.

Picnic Shelters

There are 10 picnic shelters located throughout the park ranging in capacity from 40 to over 600 people. The shelter fees vary according to shelter size and amount of time rented. There are free standing picnic tables and grills located in the main part of the park available on a first come basis.  Rental Options

Rides/Features
For your family enjoyment, the park offers a carousel and train ride (adults can ride), and a 30 passenger excursion boat ride. The park also has an 18-hole miniature gold course for challenging fun time. Tickets are sold at the park concession stand.

The rides and miniature golf are open weekends Memorial Day weekend through approximately the 2nd weekend in October each year (please call ahead).  Weekday operation runs from Memorial Day weekend through mid-August each year.  Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm, Saturday, 11am-6pm, Sunday, 1-6:30pm.

The park offers 2 handicapped accessible playgrounds. The main playground boasts one of the largest and longest play pieces in the state. A new smaller playground is located in the Camp Ann picnic area.

High Point City Lake Park is a 340 acre lake used for drinking water and for recreation.

Boating/Fishing
Bank and boat fishing are allowed with proper permits and licenses. The park's marina rents fishing boats year round and seasonally rents its canoe and pedal boats. Private boats (certain restrictions apply) may launch at the marina ramp.

Swimming Pool
The park is home to one of the largest public swimming pools in the Southeast. There is a large shallow wading pool for small children located next to the main pool. The park also has 2 exciting water slides, that are part of the pool complex. Access the pools resource for more information.   During the pool season, operating hours are Sunday-Friday, 11am-6pm, Saturday & holidays, 10am-6pm.  The pool opens Memorial Day weekend and is open weekends only until Guilford County Schools dismiss for the summer, then weekday operation is added. Weekend only opeation returns in mid-August and runs through Labor Day weekend. Admission - $6 per person.

Swim Lessons
Swim lessons are offered at varying skill levels.  Parent must accompany children ages 4 and 5 years of age at each lesson.  For more information call 336-883-3501 during pool operating hours or 336-883-3498.

Swim Meets
High Point City Lake Pool is closed to the public during swim meets.  The waterslide is open during this time, $6 per person.

Gymnasium
The gymnasium is available for rent year round. The gym is suitable for most types of large group events. Advance reservations must be made for its use. Rental Options

Field Stage
The field stage is 20' by 50' and is used for special events and is available by special reservation only. The stage is equipped with power hookups adequate for most events.

Concessions/Tickets
The park has two concession/ticket stands. One is located in the main part of the park and the other at the pool complex. Drinks, snacks, packaged food, etc. are available at both locations.

Go Far SignHealthy Places
High Point Parks and Recreation has partnered with Go Far to provide a one mile and 5K walk/run route around the recreation center. You will see a sign at the facility outlining the routes, stretches, and healthy eating tips.
