  2. Peach Day at the High Point Farmers Market

    Celebrate the end of National Farmers Market Week (August 5 - 11) and National Peach Month (August) by visiting the High Point Farmers Market for lots of fun and family friendly activities. The NC Peach Queen, Leanna Grace Caddell, will be here. Peach ice cream (Kalawi Farms and Ben's Ice Cream), will be available. Peach crafts and peach cooking demonstrations also will be going on throughout the day. Inside the High Point Public Library will be a display of peach pit carvings from the High Point Museum. Two special contests will also take place - 10 a.m. peach recipe contest (pies, cobbler, ice cream, jam, salsa, etc.) and 11 a.m. pet costume (dress your pet as your favorite fruit, vegetable or barnyard animal).

  6. Trivia @ the Library

    Join us for a fun event celebrating and wrapping up the summer. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m., with the competition set to begin at 2 p.m. Each round will be geared towards the library and the summer reading program. Each table will be set up for teams of eight. If you have less than eight people, participants can form a team at the event. Trivia teams are encouraged to register in advance because space may not be available the day of. For more information and to register, contact Lauren Mitchell. Please register your team by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 3. Teams that register will receive a ticket for one free answer. For adults 16+.
