Crime Stoppers

Reward for Tips

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that lead to the arrest, the seizure of stolen property or illegal narcotics, or the solution to unsolved crimes. The program offers citizens an anonymous method for providing vital information about crime to police without fear of retaliation. Crime Stoppers tips save investigative time which increases police efficiency and saves tax dollars. The final result is a safer community that is fighting crime one tip at a time!

Contact Methods

Citizens now have three ways to contact CrimeStoppers:

  •  By Phone: Call our unrecorded and untraced phone number, 336-889-4000 to provide tips about crime without revealing who they are. Before the caller hangs up, a secret code is issued.
  • By App: You can offer tips via our new mobile application.  You can download the P3 App from your Apple or Google App store.
  • Online: Fill out the Web Tip Information Form to submit a tip online.

Note: If a situation requires immediate Police response after hours, call 336-883-3224 and identify yourself only as a Crimestoppers caller. It will be your responsibility to contact the Coordinator the next business day to review any information you've left in order for you to be eligible for a reward.

Reward Process

If the information leads to an arrest, seizure of drugs or stolen property, or reveals the solution to an unsolved crime, the caller becomes eligible for a reward. Their case is presented at the next monthly Board of Director's meeting. The Board decides what reward is appropriate, based on the usefulness of the information.
