Park & Marina Hours of Operation


Open 7 days a week. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. 

March 8 - 29, 2020 March 30 - April 26, 2020
8 a.m. - 7 p.m. 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Rental boats need to be off the water 1 hour before closing
Private boats need to be off the water 30 minutes before closing

Effective March 21, bank fishing fees will be waived until further notice. Fishermen will not need to check in at the marina. Please bring your own bait and tackle.  

Park Closed to the Public - 2020

High Point City Lake Park will be closed to the public on the following dates due to a private rental.
  • Sunday, April 26, 2020
  • Saturday, May 16, 2020

Picnic Shelters


There are 10 picnic shelters available for rent with seating capacity ranging from 40-600 people. Shelter fees vary according to shelter size and amount of time rented. Reservations are recommended. Rental Options

There are free standing picnic tables and grills located in the main part of the park available on a first come basis.

Boating/Fishing 


Bank and boat fishing are allowed with proper permits and licenses. Private boats with less than a 9.9 HP motor may launch at the marina ramp. Fishing boats are available to rent year-round. Canoes, pedal boats, kayaks, and stand up paddle-boards can be rented seasonally (closed until spring 2020).
  • Rental boats need to be off the water 1 hour before closing
  • Private boats need to be off the water 30 minutes before closing
Outdoor Swimming Pool
The park is home to one of the largest public swimming pools in the Southeast with 2 exciting water slides. Open during the summer months, you can reserve a cabana, take a swim lesson, or rent the pool and water slide for a private party. 

The pool will reopen Memorial Day weekend in May, 2020.

Gymnasium


The gymnasium is available for rent year-round. The gym is suitable for most types of large group events. Advance reservations must be made for its use. Rental Options

Field Stage


The field stage is 20' by 50' and is used for special events and is available by special reservation only. The stage is equipped with power hookups adequate for most events. 

Healthy Places


High Point Parks and Recreation has partnered with Go Far to provide a one mile and 5K walk/run route around the park. You will see a sign at the facility outlining the routes, stretches, and healthy eating tips.

Rides & Amusements

Opens on weekends only beginning Saturday, May 2, 2020. Daily operation begins Monday, June 8, 2020. Hours are Sunday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
