2019 Hours of Operation
The amusement rides and concessions are open May 4-June 9 and August 17-October 6 for weekends only. Daily operation begins June 10-August 16. The concessions will operate Memorial Day and Labor Day.

  • Saturday & holidays - 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Sunday - 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Picnic Shelters

There are 10 picnic shelters available for rent with seating capacity ranging from 40-600 people. Shelter fees vary according to shelter size and amount of time rented. Reservations are recommended.  Rental Options

There are free standing picnic tables and grills located in the main part of the park available on a first come basis.

Bank and boat fishing are allowed with proper permits and licenses. Private boats with less than a 9.9 HP motor may launch at the marina ramp. Fishing boats are available to rent year round and canoes, pedal boats, kayaks, and stand up paddle-boards can be rented seasonally.

Swimming Pool

The park is home to one of the largest public swimming pools in the Southeast with 2 exciting water slides. Open during the summer months, you can reserve a cabana, take a swim lesson, or rent the pool and water slide for a private party. 

2019 Hours of Operation: Sunday-Friday, 11:00 am-6:00 pm, Saturday & holidays, 10:00 am-6:00 pm. Admission - $6 per person. 

Weekend and Holidays Only: May 25-June 9 and August 17-September 2.
Daily Operation: June 10-August 16.
The pool will close for the season on Monday, September 2, 2019.

Register for Swim Lessons


The gymnasium is available for rent year round. The gym is suitable for most types of large group events. Advance reservations must be made for its use. Rental Options

Field Stage

The field stage is 20' by 50' and is used for special events and is available by special reservation only. The stage is equipped with power hookups adequate for most events. 


The park has two concession/ticket stands. One is located in the main part of the park and the other at the pool complex. Drinks, snacks, packaged food, etc. are available at both locations.

Go Far SignHealthy Places

High Point Parks and Recreation has partnered with Go Far to provide a one mile and 5K walk/run route around the recreation center. You will see a sign at the facility outlining the routes, stretches, and healthy eating tips.
